A Letter From A Founder

Hi there, Welcome to Bloom Sober House.

This home wasn’t built from theory – it was built from experience. The kind of experience that comes from getting lost in some very dark places and somehow finding the strength to turn back toward the light.

I’m a woman in recovery, too. I’ve lived in houses like this. I’ve felt broken, tired, and unsure if I even deserved another chance. I’ve unpacked my life one piece at a time, hoping this place might be different. I know what it’s like to carry shame. I also know what it’s like to find your footing – to surprise yourself with your own resilience.

Bloom Sober House is a reflection of my story and the people who never stopped hoping I’d make it. There was a time when my relationship with my family felt fractured beyond repair. But recovery has a way of making space for healing – even in places you thought were lost for good. Today, I get to build something beautiful with them: something rooted in love, trust, and a kind of connection I never imagined I’d have again.

Together, we created Bloom Sober House to be a place of steady ground and second chances. A space where structure meets softness. Where accountability is a form of care. Where progress, not perfection, is the goal – and where no one walks alone.

You don’t have to bloom perfectly here. You just have to stay planted long enough to begin.

We’re so glad you made it.

With love and hope,

Lauren Hussey
